Birthday 2017 ♡

It was my birthday on the 18th of July and my friends made pretty sure that it was the best day for me.

My day started, even before the clock struck 12.  My friends had made a video in which each one of them spoke words of flattery for Her Majesty 😀 Birthdays are good because once in a year you are made to feel as if everything revolves around you. And who on earth doesn’t want that ?😄

WHEN YOU KNOW IT’S YOUR BIRTHDAY, YOU GOTTA ACT EXTRA CRAZY !!!

My friend Sonalin, who also shares her birthday month with me, made a beautiful card with lovely messages and my pictures on all the four pages. The best part of it, was the inter tangled paper flowers which opened like a bouquet when I opened it ♡

HOW SURPRISED I WAS TO SEE THE CARD ♡

Next, I was expecting a chocolate or a black forest cake. It was so considerate of my amazing roommates, Avinanda and Srijita, to remember that I loved Red Velvet cake ! And it was so yummy. It did dig a hole in my friends’ pockets, but they did succeed in making me really happy 😍

THE HAPPINESS IS SO EVIDENT ♡

The back of the card read, Queen of Belly dance. You can see how overwhelmed I was reading the beautiful messages my friends left for me.

Now, the second best part of birthdays. The gifts ! Given the shopaholic I am, I had a lot of things on my mind since like forever ! So I decided to spend my pocket money on gifting those to myself and also, some self pampering there 😁 ( Perks of not having someone to spend your pocket money on) 😃😃

This Freedom Makeup London pallete had been on my list for so long, until I got it for myself last week 😃

You see that pair of red Jhumkaas ? It is handmade by my friend Piyali. And the white candle, it was handmade by my friend Lisley’s mother. Aren’t my people so talented ?

All of my favourite brands there ♡

Next, I decided to go on a lunch date with my wonderful friends. The hectic medical school life hardly left us any time to go on that same day. Nevertheless, we went, 3 days later 😁

I decided to wear the same dress I wore on Eid this year.

From Kebabs to Biryani and then to Firnis and Ice creams, we had our stomachs so filled that we could barely walk after that.

NEVER LET LOVE INTEREFERE WITH YOUR APPETITE ♡
TOOTI-FROOTI. Wafers dipped in *ice cream topped over rose syrup* would have been a better name though  😆
LEFT TO RIGHT- AVINANDA, SURANJANA, SONALIN, ME AND DIYA ♡

TOO MANY BEAUTIFUL FACES. ISN’T IT ?

We didn’t know we were making memories. We thought we were just having  fun

  3. Absolutely loved this post. No year should ever pass without a celebration of the life God gave us. (In my latest book I used this sentence with God replaced by Allah by the way since the speaker was Muslim). It still came from my own heart (too). You share the same birthday with my long passed mother. Blessings to you and your friends.
