Yes, indeed. It can be difficult though, especially within the family – close relatives know the topics that will bring a reaction, and some of them are unscrupulous enough to make use of the knowledge.
Practising living in the moment can help us be more aware of our emotional state, which protects us to some extent from reacting rather than responding.
